I was raised in OK, lived in IL for 33 years and have settled down recently in NC. Over the years, I’ve had my own Cabinet Shop and recently began making knives.

I’ve always been more interested in learning how things work than just using them. Once you know how something works then you can fix it when it’s broke, improve if it’s lacking functionality or build it from scratch. My motto is “why buy something when you can create it for twice the price”.

I had the opportunity to compete on Forged in Fire - Crushed Car Challenge (Season 9, Episode 1). This was a great experience - felt like I was a kid in a candy shop. But at the end of the day, I’m just as proud of the work I do in my own shop.

I believe in building things that last, fixing what I can, and putting care into everything I touch.

I use just about anything in my knife construction (aka ‘Nothing is Safe’).

I like to be upfront with the materials I use for my knives. Often joking about where I found the steel I utilize.

Everything in my knives is handcrafted in my shop. I enjoy stabilizing wood, making micarta from various materials, designing leather and kydex sheaths, and using damascus steels.
